There are a ton of fun things to do in Ocean City on rainy days. Check websites for hours, prices and availability.
- Alley Oops – Family friendly restaurant with games like air hockey and mini bowling, arcade games and a live shark tank. Two locations (55th St and 131st St). Home – Alley Oops – Landing Page
- Art Gallery – Check out the exhibits or take a class (94th St). Ocean City Center for the Arts | Art League of Ocean City
- Billiards – The Greene Turtle sports bar in West Ocean City has two pool tables, two basketball games and several table poker and trivia games. Facebook | Greene Turtle West OC. Pickles Pub (Philadelphia Ave near the Boardwalk) also has pool tables. Pickles Pub | Sports Bar in FL and MD
- Bowling – Full size bowling lanes with bumper option for kids (72nd St). Home | Ocean Lanes

- Carousel Ice Skating – A full size ice rink right inside the hotel! Ice Rink | Carousel Resort Hotel in Ocean City, MD
- Delmarva Discovery Museum – about a 45 minute drive from Ocean Pines, worth the drive especially if you have young kids. Live otters, a full size steam boat to play in, lots of interactive exhibits. Closed for renovations spring 2026 and opens May 30, 2026. Home | Discovery Museum
- Escape Rooms – My daughter and her friends enjoyed Escapomania Ocean City, MD. Alternately, Trapped Escape Rooms offer a variety of puzzles , and kids under age 7 get in free (must have a supervising/paying adult). Trapped Escape Rooms
- Live Music – Ocean Pines has regular live music at the Yacht Club (some outdoor, some indoor) (see the Activity Guide – Ocean Pines Association), Ocean Pines Golf Club on Wednesdays and Fridays during the summer (indoors). I could dedicate an entire website to all of the live music just in Ocean City. A great place to start is on Facebook on the OC Beat group. - Marty’s Playland – arcade games with a large collection of Skeeball and other ticket-spitting games so you can get that coveted spider ring. Located at the Boardwalk Inlet. Home | Marty’s Playland
- Movie Theaters – there are two options in OC for movie theaters. Flagship is newer/nicer, but both do the job on a rainy day. Flagship Cinemas (Rt 50 Ocean Gateway West OC), Gold Coast Theatres (113th St)
- Mermaid Museum – this museum gets mixed reviews, as it is small and quirky; but most reviewers agree that it is unique and worth a visit if you like mermaids. Located close to classic restaurants such as the Atlantic Hotel. Mermaid Museum, Berlin, MD
- Museum of Ocean City and Ocean City Life Saving Museum – Explore the history of Ocean City and the role of the
United States Life-Saving Service at these two museum locations near the OC Boardwalk. The Life Saving museum has several beautiful aquariums. - Ocean Pines Sports Core Indoor Pool – features a water slide. Money saving tip: If you just want to go for an hour, go to any OP pool during the last hour they are open June – August for a big discount. Activity Guide – Ocean Pines Association
- Old Pro Mini Golf – Two indoor locations (68th St. and 136th St) – Locations | Old Pro Golf | OCMD Outdoor & Indoor Mini Golf
- Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum – Fun museum of oddities with an optional mirror maze ticket add-on. Located at the Boardwalk Inlet. Ripley’s Believe It or Not! | Aquariums, Attractions, Museums
- Sportland Arcade – large arcade located at the Boardwalk Inlet. Sportland Arcade – Ocean City’s #1 Arcade!
- Trimper’s Kiddie Rides – Trimper’s at the Boardwalk Inlet has a large indoor section with kiddie rides, including bumper cars, boats, a full size carousel and more. Rides – Trimper Rides | Rides, Games & Family Fun in Ocean City
- Windmill Creek Winery – located just outside of Ocean Pines, this is a wonderful little winery to visit rain or shine. For rainy days, you can dine and try wine flights inside the cozy farm house. Windmill Creek Winery & Farm Kitchen | Berlin, MD
