Breezy Tees How-Tos

We want you to feel comfortable and at home. Here’s how to use all the nifty gadgets around the house.

You can use the XFiniti cable or you can log in to your own Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime accounts.

To watch XFiniti Cable: on the HiSense remote click the Home button. Scroll left to the arrow “Inputs.” Click down, choose Cable. On the XFiniti Remote, click the big circle in the middle.

To watch streaming apps: on the HiSense remote, press the Home button (looks like a house). Scroll to the app you want to use and log in. Be sure to log yourself out of the accounts before you check out so no other guests accidentally access your accounts. To log out of YouTube: Open YouTube and go into your account. Go the settings gear on the left and choose “Reset App.” To log out of Netflix: Go into Netflix and select your profile. Once in, scroll to Get Help on the left menu. Scroll all the way down to Sign Out.

By default, the surround sound should automatically turn on when the TV is turned on. If you hear an ECHO, make sure the TV volume is turned all the way down so that sound is only coming through the sound bar. Control the volume on the Polk remote.

You can connect any device to the Polk via Bluetooth. Connect to “Polk Signa.” For example, you can play music on your phone through the surround sound. Try it, it sounds pretty awesome 🙂

There is a collection of vintage vinyl for you to enjoy on the record player. There is a Bluetooth connection to the surround sound so you can enjoy these oldies. If you don’t hear the music, press the pairing button on the little Polk remote on the coffee table (Look for the Bluetooth symbol , right side in the second row of buttons).

To unlock: Tap on the lock screen to “wake it up.” The screen may at first display just 2 numbers. If it does, press each one in any order. Then the whole keypad will display. Enter the lock code we sent you. To lock: pull the door closed and while still pulling it gently, press the lock button on the keypad. Keep pulling gently until the door is locked. You will hear a success “beep.”

The house is equipped with XFinity high-speed internet. The WiFi password is posted on the wall in the living room to the right of the front door.

To set the JennAir oven timer, press the Timer 1 button to the left of the clock display. Use the number keypad to enter the time in hours/minutes (so if you enter 1-0-0, this will be one hour. If you enter 1-0, this will be ten minutes). Press Enter to start the timer. Press Timer 1 again twice to stop the timer.

Press the Bake or Broil button for the desired oven mode. Use the keypad numbers to enter the desired temperature and press Enter. Press the CANCEL button to turn the oven off.

One thermostat controls the temperature for the whole house. It is located above the stereo cabinet (on the wall with the stairs, right above the vintage record player). Press the up and down arrows, but don’t adjust more than a few degrees per hour or the unit could freeze up. Use the mode button to change between heat and cool and give it a few minutes to kick over to the new mode. Set at the temp that makes you comfortable when you are here. Before you check out, please leave the thermostat set at 65 in the winter and 75 in the summer.

The kitchen and sunroom overhead lighting fixtures have been upgraded with dimmers. Use the small sliders to the right of each switch to adjust lighting levels as desired.

We know you really don’t need a bunch of rules, because you are awesome. We just have a few requests.

1. **No Smoking:** Please refrain from smoking of any kind inside the house. You may smoke outside, but please dispose of cigarette butts properly (do not throw in the yard please).

2. **No Pets:** We love pets, but unfortunately due to severe allergies, we cannot accommodate them in our home.

3. **Respect the Property:** This is our home away from home and we want you to have an amazing time here. Please treat our home with care and report any damages or issues promptly.

4. **No parking on the street.** This is a neighborhood rule, so help keep us in the good graces of our HOA and park in the driveway only. 🙂

5. **Have a great time, but no additional unregistered guests/parties.**

There is much less traffic headed to the beach before 9am and after 1pm. On Fridays and Saturdays, traffic tends to extend into the later afternoon due to incoming vacationers, so be patient.

Take the parking pass for free parking at the beach club on 49th St. Make one purchase at the beach club restaurant (could be something as small as a water or ice cream) and get free usage of the bathrooms / showers – just show the receipt to gain entry (otherwise they ask for your neighborhood HOA ID card). Be sure to return the parking pass to its bin next to the front door each time you use it.

It’s crowded at the beach during the summer. Go early to secure a spot closer to the water, or later in the afternoon. But always expect to be very close to lots of people at OC beaches June-August.

Ocean City does not allow alcoholic beverages on the beach… plan stealth mode accordingly.

Ocean City does not allow smoking on the beach except in designated areas. No stealth mode for this one. 😉

Pack a cooler, or, if you want total convenience, there’s a full menu as well as a bar at OP Beach Club. There is also a Dumser’s right across the street.

If you forgot bathing suits, or need anything else beachy, there is a Sunsations very close to the beach club.

The pool at the beach club is not free, nor is it cheap. However purchasing a wrist band at any Ocean Pines pool lets you use any Ocean Pines pool for that day.

Very important! Return the beach parking pass to the designated bin by the front door.

The beach parking pass is included as part of your stay at Breezy Tees for no extra charge. We keep the pass in a holder next to the front door, below the coat rack. The pass is good only at Ocean Pines Beach Club on 49th Street. Keep in mind that this parking lot can fill up during the summer months, especially on weekends, and spaces are not guaranteed. Present the pass to the attendant when you pull into the lot, they will scan it, then leave it on your dash or hanging from the mirror. VERY IMPORTANT: Return the beach pass to its holder next to the front door after you use it each time, and before you check out. Our HOA charges a $50 fee to replace the pass if it gets lost or accidentally taken home by you, so please don’t forget! That will impact the guests after you and just be a big bummer all around, but we have faith you will remember to take care of your fellow guests and leave that pass for them.

Hope you had an awesome stay! Just a couple things before you leave.

  • Return the beach pass to its holder by the front door.
  • Please turn the thermostat to 65 if the heat is on (fall and winter) or 75 if the AC is on (late spring and summer).
  • Put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the cycle.
  • Take the trash out to the bins on the side of the house.
  • You do NOT need to worry about stripping beds, etc. However, if you used extra linens from the laundry room, please help our cleaning team by starting the first load of those extras in the wash.
  • Did you return the beach pass? 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thanks so much for your help!
